This is my second time with Tabloid. Last time was at The Venue during an open mic competition. Jonah Sithole (pronounced sshto-lay), who was one the participants, is also here with them. Shots are here.
This time they're one of the featured bands at The Circus and I got access to shoot their sound check session.
I hate to say it, but the stage provided for them is rather...well, I'll say very small. They could've just let them use the raised deck by the large window so they got more space to move around. Still, they gave it all and the Rude Boy duet Sharon did with Jonah was my favourite. They rearranged the song and Jonah added his own twist to it. I had to point my lens down for a while and enjoyed the whole piece.
The last part is Sharon with her sister, Yvonne. The two founded The Tabloid Sistahs about a year ago.
